Aldwick Court Farm & Winyard

Aldwick Court Farm & Winyard

‘Family owned for five generations, Aldwick Court Farm has long experience of diversification in farming. The recent creation of two vineyards is but one example. In 2008, some two thousand vines were planted in a hectare of Homefield, followed in 2010 by a further 11,000 in the gently sloping, southwest-facing field, Woodlands. In 2013 Aldwick Court Farm & Vineyard were proud to offer their first wines.

They have six varieties of grape: Early and late Pinot Noir, Seyval Blanc, Regent, Bacchus, Madeline Angevine and Solaris. From September through to early November, the grapes are harvested by hand and delivered to their our skillful vintner, Steve Brooksbank’.

Bramley & Gage

Bramley & Gage

Bramley & Gage are a lovely company which we found in Thornbury. Their 6 o'clock Gin has been a huge hit with customers along with their beautiful cordials. The raspberry cordial has half a kilo of raspberries in! These beverages really are something quite different.

RCH Brewery

RCH Brewery

The first brew was produced in 1983 at the Royal Clarence Hotel, Burnham-on-Sea. Graham Dunbavan joined the team in 1992 as Head Brewer and new beers were developed, most notably Pitchfork and Old Slug. Production quickly grew from 5bl (180 gallons) a fortnight to 15bl a week (540 gallons), maxing out the capacity of the brewhouse in the hotel!

January 2016 saw the suffer a fire in the brewhouse. Overnight on the 23rd January the fuse box went up causing untold damage. The brewhouse underwent refurbishment and the main building got a lick of paint too. The fire gave RCH Brewery the opportunity to create a whole new image and a makeover was undertaken to set up the brewery for the next phase of their exciting journey!
