Langford attends Winscombe's Michaelmas Fair for 2nd year running!
Written 26/09/19 - Winscombe Michaelmas Fair - you were great!
On Saturday last week, with the weather on our side, some of the lovely team of Budgens of Langford left the store run our stall at Winscombe Community Association's Michaelmas Fair, for the 2nd year running.
We had a great day, visitors to our stand got to taste just a few of our Discovered Treasure range. Strawberries from Warren’s Farm in Cheddar, Twisted Olive Stick from Pullin’s Bakery in Yatton, and the mourish flapjacks from Foxcombe Bakehouse.
It was great to receive so many lovely comments about the products tasted and to explain to those surprised that we offer so much more than your average petrol station forecourt. We launch new products to our Discovered Treasure range so it was great to showcase new additioins. Our quest to find high quality, award winning or local products that you will struggle to find elsewhere means there are many treats for you to discover in-store.
We also welcomed Kelli from the Wine Shop to our stand to run a competition of guess the grape and country of a secret wine. All takings from the competition, along with the proceeds from the products we sold on the stand, and 'hook-a-duck' have been donated to the Winscombe Community Association, the charity behind planning, organising and hosting the Michaelmas Fair every year for the local community.
In-store we live by the ethos of Everyone Leaves Happier, we hope that on Saturday everyone who visited our stand certainly left happier!
